Having A Right Heart Before God

Having  A Right  Heart  Before  God

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” Psalm 51:10

Human beings will judge you by your outward appearance, but the bible says “God looks at the heart” 1Samuel 16:7.The condition of your heart in the sight of God is very imperative. Your heart determines who you are, if you have a good heart, always
thinking of good things, you will eventually become good.

However, if your heart is not right in the sight of God, that is; you conceive evil thoughts in your heart, it will manifest in your actions one day. Simon, once a witch doctor, who was trading power for money, saw that there is a greater power with the apostles, decided to become a Christian.

He got bone again, but his was a commercial one. One day he offered to buy the power of the Holy Ghost with money. Peter rebuked him sharply.

“Thou hath neither part nor lot in this matter; for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray to God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee for I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.” Act 8:21-23.

The Psalmist prayed for a clean heart and a right spirit, he asked God to restore the joy of the Holy Spirit and salvation in his heart after the conviction that he has sinned against God. (Psalm 51:10-12). God strengthen everyone whose heart is perfect.

“For the eyes of the Lord run throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him ….”2 Chronicles 16:9. God is looking for people with perfect heart, so that he can use them. Make yourself available for God to use by providing a clean heart.

PRAYER
Oh God, purify my heart, help me not to conceive evil in my heart against my neighbor. Give me a right heart that desires to do well and to know more of you. Let your Holy Spirit sanctify my heart daily in Jesus name AMEN.
