Love Is Kind

Love Is kind

  " Love is kind and patient " 1 Corinthians 13 : 4

Love is kind means that love makes people to be generous towards those they love. Whenever we love someone we are prone to be generous towards that person. We give so much to such people all because we love them

.  A person in love is a giver in kind and gesture. A person in love gives gifts and passion, or affection. God's love for humanity prompted God to give us long life, daily bread ,rain to water our plantations and a conducive atmosphere on earth for living.

God's kindness towards us is mostly seen in the  way he gave us his son Jesus to be our saviour and deliverer . ( John 3:16 ) God is so kind to human beings that he makes sure we have angelic protection over our lives all the  time.  " In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them, in his love and in his pity he redeemed them ,and he bare them ,and nd carried them all the days of old ." Isaiah 63 : 9

When God loves us he always redeems us from the slavery of darkness, and also bears us in his saving arms all the time. That is why as his beloved children we are previleged to enjoy the kindness of the Lord for his children.

Love is caring for other people the way God loves and cares for his children, and this is an act of kindness. To love in person means to show goodness and mercy to such  a  person especially in the time of need,.So we are  also admonished to love in deed  and not in words .

"  My little children, let us not love in word ,neither  in tongue, but in deed and in truth. " 1 John 3:18 Love shows in good deeds that we do for those we love ,the same God does good deeds for us because of his love. It is not enough to say I love you to someone, but the best is to do good to the person that you love. True love is seen in the things we do for people we love and not in the words we say to them.

That is why God does so many things for us because of his love for us as his beloved children. God wants us to do good and help people for the sake of love and not because the people deserve it, but because of the demonstration of love.

" Give to him that a sketch thee ,and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. " Matthew 5: 42 Love gives, cares ,protects , and helps all who are in need of help as much as possible.

PRAYER Topic

Lord help me to love and show the kindness of love to all the people around  me in Jesus name.

Love Is Patience

Love Is Patience

Love is patience enduring and long suffering. This means love is tolerant and can endure even in hard times and actually persevere during crises. A person in love is ready to wait upon his or her lover to actually come to terms with their love conditions. For  instance a man can patiently wait upon a young lady who is in the  university or vocational training to finish and then marry her because of love.

A woman who is in love can wait patiently for a spouse or husband who is in abroad for five or more years  to return and settle together. God wants us to have the same virtue of patience to wait for his promises. Once we are able to wait for as long as the promise tarried ,it is a sign of love for God  which is patience " But let patience have her perfect work.,that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. " James 1 : 4

So patience is the way of God that God wants to use to establish our love for God, that is why at times God's promises seems to tarry before they come to pass . " Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. " James 1:3 If we claim to love God ,it would be seen in our patient walk with God, because true love 7 tested by patience .If we don’t have patience for God to wait upon him to fulfil hispromises, it is a sign that we are not in love with God  .
9

For instance Hebrews 10:36 declares " For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. " Hebrews 10: 36 The will of God is for us to have patience for God and that  signifies the love of God in our hearts. For instance Abraham waited in patience until the promise of God concerning his life came to pass. Because he loved God he didn't go and serve other gods in order for his needs to be met, rather he waited in patience.

"Saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. " Hebrews 6: 14-15  God's way of seeing our love for him is to weigh us on the scale of patience. If we claim to love God it doesn't matter how long it takes for God's promises to be fulfilled in our lives, we will have the patience to wait upon God for such a promise. People who give up too quickly or soon are not really in love with God.
PRAYER

OH Lord my God give me patience, because I live you ,help to wait patiently until your promise come to pass in my life .

CONCEPT OF SIN

Concept Of Sin
Sin is a word that every one is so conscious of , however in a world like this everyone has his or her own concept of what sin is . People have their own standard of life and belief of what is and what is not SIN to their conscious . We are living in a world where people have a life style of sin and yet can justify themselves with flimsy excuses. According to the word of God sin is defined as the transgression of the law .

"Whosoever commits  sin transgresses also the law , for sin is the transgression of the law ." 1 John 3:4 The fact is God has given us (human beings )a standard of life and this standards are found in the word of God (the law ). Whenever you do anything contrary to God's word it is a transgression and for that matter it becomes sin .God gave human beings so many laws , rules , stipulations , ordinances , regulations and precepts in his word , which is basically the Holy Bible .

Therefore to disobey the word of God is sin for you and the the disobedience is against GOD. The word transgression goes along with disobedience to God's word . "For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast , and every transgression and disobedience receive a just recompense of reward ." Hebrews 2:2 God is so serious about his laws that , he cannot tolerate anyone who has a habit of disobeying the word , such as person is declared a sinner by God's standard .

There is sin because there is law , so whenever you break the law , it is called sin .Just as there is darkness because there is light , whenever the light goes off , then the darkness appear. "Because the law worketh wrath :for where no law is , there is no transgression." Romans 4:15 Sin is usually committed against God alone , even though your sins can offend your fellow human , but it is God you have actually  hurt , in that you have dishonoured God by despising his law.

IN the Holy Scriptures the Bible there are a number of words that are associated with sin , these are iniquity , law-breakers , transgression, disobedience ,offense, perversion , wickedness, evil, trespass , unrighteousness, lawlessness, defile, abomination, atrocities, mischief, misconduct, offense, etc. All this words are terms that define and explain the complexity of sin to the human being.

The New Creation

Add caption

THE NEW CREATION
“Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation old things are passed away; behold all things are become new” 2Corinthians 5:17

The born-again Christian is a new creation and as such   has been given a life in Christ. Among other things, the Christian is a Spirit, a new entity created in Christ Jesus. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of Spirit is Spirit.” John 3:6. What Jesus means is that, your human parents gave birth to a flesh and blood. That is you, however in Christ Jesus, we are born as a Spirit, and that is the new creation.

The new creation does not have a past, but a new personality in Christ. That is why as a Christian, you cannot think in retrospect to your past life before you got born- again. You are not suppose to trace your genealogy and affirm that a particular phenomena of life taking place in your life as part of your family issues. All things are new for the new creation and the former things are passed away.

We are called the “walls in newness of life”. (Romans 6:4). You are a new being, who has the nature of God and that makes you Spiritual. You walk according to the word of God. When you get converted to Christ your citizenship is inverted.
This means that you have being translated into the kingdom of God. The new creation is a Spirit that has the mindset of Christ in his or her life. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5

PRAYER
Thank you Lord, because I am born-again therefore I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I live a new life in Christ and function according to the word of God. I am a Spirit and the former things are passed away and all things are becoming new in my life.

Receive God’s Grace

“By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name” Romans 1:5

Grace is God’s gift for humanity. But we have the prerogative to receive or reject God’s grace. Grace is undeserved access or unmerited favour, going places you don’t deserve to go. Getting things you are not suppose to get.

The grace of God qualifies us to do somethings; we are not suppose to do, to received some blessing we don’t deserve. When we have grace, we get divine favour from God, to do things we couldn’t do. What you think you can’t do, the grace of God qualifies you to do.

Philippians 4:13 declares “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

This is the grace of God at work in you that enables you to do all things through Christ. Grace gives you divine strength to accomplish what the ordinary person cannot accomplish. By the grace of God, we are who we are in Christ Jesus.

The grace of God can enrich you and transform your life. The grace can promote you without credentials. You can receive God’s grace today that will change your life forever. Once you have that grace, you are certain of who you are and what you can accomplish.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for what you have done in my life. Today, I know that I can receive grace to function; I therefore ask that you give me the abundance of grace, so that I
will reign my life, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN.

Rejoice Always

REJOICE ALWAYS

“Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice” Philippians 4:4

Many Christians rejoice when things are going on well with them. But when things did not go the way, they thought, it should, they lose their joy and start to complain bitterly. But the word of God says, that we should rejoice at all times. For the true believer who has faith in the word of God, there is no bad day or bad news.

This is because the word of God says “all things work together for good to them that love God” Romans 8:28. The scripture says rejoice always this means even in the time of crises you still rejoice and sing praises to God, knowing that all the crises are working together for your good. When God is in our vessel we even smile at a storm, because we know that the storm will be calm.

There is nothing in this world that should happen to the Christian, for him or her to lose her joy. The world of God says “be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”. Philippians 4:6.

During crises, the only thing you need to do is to pray and tell God your predicament and thank, God in advance for doing miracles through the crises. James 1:2-3 declares “My brother, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing, this that, the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

It is not easy for the natural person to rejoice in hard times, but when the Holy Spirit takes over your life it is possible. That is what makes Paul and silas to worship and praise God even in the prison. They were not sad because of the discomfort in the jail, but they were strengthened by the joy of the Lord. The scripture declares “the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 Cultivate the habit of rejoicing all the time.

PRAYER
Jesus, thank you for your word that teaches me to rejoice all the time, let the Holy Spirit of joy infuse my mind and heart so that I can be comforted from the word of God in troublous timeof even in the time trouble. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength forever in Jesus name. AMEN.

Having A Right Heart Before God

Having  A Right  Heart  Before  God

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” Psalm 51:10

Human beings will judge you by your outward appearance, but the bible says “God looks at the heart” 1Samuel 16:7.The condition of your heart in the sight of God is very imperative. Your heart determines who you are, if you have a good heart, always
thinking of good things, you will eventually become good.

However, if your heart is not right in the sight of God, that is; you conceive evil thoughts in your heart, it will manifest in your actions one day. Simon, once a witch doctor, who was trading power for money, saw that there is a greater power with the apostles, decided to become a Christian.

He got bone again, but his was a commercial one. One day he offered to buy the power of the Holy Ghost with money. Peter rebuked him sharply.

“Thou hath neither part nor lot in this matter; for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray to God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee for I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.” Act 8:21-23.

The Psalmist prayed for a clean heart and a right spirit, he asked God to restore the joy of the Holy Spirit and salvation in his heart after the conviction that he has sinned against God. (Psalm 51:10-12). God strengthen everyone whose heart is perfect.

“For the eyes of the Lord run throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him ….”2 Chronicles 16:9. God is looking for people with perfect heart, so that he can use them. Make yourself available for God to use by providing a clean heart.

PRAYER
Oh God, purify my heart, help me not to conceive evil in my heart against my neighbor. Give me a right heart that desires to do well and to know more of you. Let your Holy Spirit sanctify my heart daily in Jesus name AMEN.
